  • Completed applications must be submitted by noon, two (2) weeks prior to the meeting
  • Only complete applications received by the deadline will be placed on the agenda

The Zoning Board of Appeals is an independent board that reviews requests for relief from the Village’s zoning regulations. When strict application of the zoning code creates practical difficulties or unnecessary hardship, the ZBA has the authority to grant variances—allowing property owners to use their land in a reasonable way while still protecting the character and integrity of the community.

The ZBA also hears appeals from decisions made by the Building Department, ensuring that zoning regulations are applied fairly and consistently. Through public hearings and careful review, the Board balances individual property rights with the overall goals of the Village’s zoning laws.
