Important: New York does not offer general same-day or Election Day voter registration. However, eligible voters may register and cast an affidavit ballot on the first day of early voting, which is also the registration deadline. Registration is not available throughout the entire early voting period.

Absentee ballots are available to voters who meet certain eligibility requirements, including those who will be away from their county on Election Day or cannot vote in person due to illness or disability.

Early voting for the November 3, 2026 General Election will take place from Saturday, October 24, through Sunday, November 1.
Dutchess County voters may vote at any of the seven early voting locations throughout the county, regardless of where they live.

Early Voting Hours:
- October 24–25: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- October 26: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- October 27: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- October 28: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- October 29–November 1: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Once you've completed your ballot, follow the instructions carefully, including signing and sealing the required envelopes.
You may return your completed ballot by:

Mail: Use the prepaid return envelope provided with your ballot.

In Person: Deliver it to the Dutchess County Board of Elections at 112 Delafield Street, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Early Voting Location: Drop off your sealed ballot at any Dutchess County early voting site during early voting hours.

Election Day: Drop off your ballot at any Dutchess County Election Day polling location before polls close at 9:00 PM.
For the November 3, 2026 General Election, mailed ballots must be postmarked by November 3 and received by the Board of Elections no later than November 10.

Annual Elections
The annual election in the Village of Millbrook, New York, for the election of two (2) Village Trustee positions shall be held and conducted in the fall of the year 2010 and for the Mayor and the other two (2) Village Trustee positions of the year 2011 and every four years hereafter, coincident with the general fall elections held in accordance with and as provided by the federal election laws and the Election Law of the State of New York and any amendments thereto changing or varying the date of general fall elections.
Mayor; election, term and compensation.
The Mayor shall be elected by voters of the Village of Millbrook at large to serve for a term of four years beginning January 1 next following his or her election. He or she shall be a resident and registered voter of the Village of Millbrook. The Mayor shall be elected at the general election in the year 2011 and every four years thereafter. The Mayor shall receive such compensation as fixed by ordinance adopted by the Village of Millbrook at any time.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees shall be elected by voters of the Village of Millbrook, at large to serve for a term of four years beginning April 1 next following his or her election. He or she shall be a resident and registered voter of the Village of Millbrook. The two (2) Trustee positions terms of office expiring in 2011 shall be elected at the general election in the year 2011 and every four years thereafter. The other two (2) remaining Trustee positions terms of office expiring in 2010 shall be elected at the general election in the year 2010 and every four years thereafter. The Trustees shall receive such compensation as fixed by ordinance adopted by the Village of Millbrook at any time.
