Road Work Notice: Merritt Avenue Chip Sealing – Week of August 17

Dear Village Residents,

Please be advised that Merritt Avenue is scheduled to be chip sealed during the week of August 17, with the work tentatively planned for Tuesday, August 18, weather and contractor scheduling permitting.

To allow the work to be completed safely and efficiently:

• No parking will be permitted on Merritt Avenue from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the day work is performed.
• Merritt Avenue will be closed to through traffic during this time. Local access may be limited, and motorists should expect delays.
• Residents are encouraged to move vehicles off the street before 6:00 a.m. and plan alternate routes if traveling during the work period.

Chip sealing is an important preventative maintenance treatment that helps preserve the roadway, extend its service life, and improve driving conditions.

Please note that the schedule is tentative and may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If the date changes, the Village will provide an updated notice as soon as possible.
